NEW YORK, LONDON, HONG KONG and SYDNEY, March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pomona Capital, a global private equity firm, announced a series of promotions including 2 Partners, 1 Principal, 3 Vice Presidents, 1 Senior Associate and 1 Accounting Manager. In particular, Pomona promoted Douglas Kelly and James Rorer to be Partners of the firm. Mr. Kelly's and Mr. Rorer's appointments bring the total number of Pomona Partners to seven.

Both Mr. Kelly and Mr. Rorer are senior members of the investment team focusing on investment analysis and deal sourcing. Mr. Kelly joined Pomona in 2007 and has thirteen years of private equity experience. Prior to joining Pomona, he was a Director at Barclays Capital in the U.S. Strategic Finance Division. Previously, he spent seven years at General Electric Company working at GE Equity as well as at GE's Corporate Lending Group.
Mr. Rorer joined Pomona in 2004 and has fifteen years of private equity experience. Prior to Pomona, he was a Vice President in the private equity group at U.S. Trust. Earlier, Mr. Rorer spent several years at Bain & Co. and began his career at Credit Suisse.
