ING Hartford Marathon Elite Inspiration Team Members Selected

Inspiring personalities will receive special Elite-level treatment on October 15, 2011

GLASTONBURY, Conn., Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hartford Marathon Foundation is excited to unveil the 11-member group selected as the ING Hartford Marathon Elite Inspiration Team. This new program was created to recognize the many inspiring personal journeys that compel participants to run ING Hartford Marathon events. Team members were nominated based on personal achievements, positive leadership roles within the community and a dedication to living healthy lifestyles and they were chosen amongst a wide field of nominations.

The team will be treated to Elite level benefits on race day including a complimentary hotel stay, free admission to the Pasta Supper and ING Hartford Marathon apparel. Additionally, each personal story will be profiled on the ING Hartford Marathon web site, Jumbotron at the start of the race as well as along Pratt Street in Hartford, which will be turned into 'Elite Street' for the two weeks leading up to race weekend.

The Hartford Marathon Foundation along with ING, title sponsor of the race and presenting sponsor of the ING Hartford Marathon Elite Inspiration Team, are extremely honored to recognize the 11 members making up this inaugural team.
