ING Insurance U.S. Promotes Gary Baxter to Chief Information Officer

ING Insurance U.S. announced today the promotion of Gary Baxter to chief information officer. Baxter will provide overall leadership, management and strategy execution related to technology investments and information technology operations across all U.S. business lines that include ING U.S. Retirement Services, ING Individual Retirement, and ING U.S. Insurance.

Previously, Baxter served as the head of information technology for ING U.S. Retirement Services, ING Individual Retirement and the company's closed block of business. Baxter joined ING having over 25 years of experience in information systems, most recently with The Hartford Financial Services Group. He also served in executive information technology roles with companies such as Travelers Life and Annuity, Lincoln Financial Group and Aetna. Baxter earned a bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University.
