Four financial professionals from the broker-dealers of ING were selected to the annual Registered Rep. Top 100 Independent Financial Advisor List, unveiled in the publication's August issue. The honorees included Financial Network's Larry Carroll (Carroll Financial - Charlotte, N.C.) at No. 19, Multi-Financial's David Borden (Borden CCR Wealth Management - Westborough, Mass.) at No. 21, Multi-Financial's Roger Green (Green Financial Resources - Duluth, Ga.) at No. 63, and ING Financial Partners' Robert Taylor (Choice Financial Services - Oklahoma City, Okla.) at No. 88.

Carroll's selection marked his third consecutive appearance in the Registered Rep. Top 100. He ranked No. 18 in 2007 and No. 25 in 2008.

"It's an honor to be selected by Registered Rep. and included among such a successful group," said Carroll. "Personal accolades are certainly nice, but my greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that I've been able to help a client. That's our true mission. And when that mission guides your efforts, good things happen."

Green is also a three-time selection. He ranked No. 34 in 2007 and No. 63 in 2008. Borden's selection was his second, rising from No. 24 in 2008. Taylor is a first-time selection.

Creation of the list was led this year by Discovery, an online database of financial service intermediaries published by the Financial Information Group. Discovery created a proprietary methodology for ranking FINRA-registered representatives. In this list, the advisors were ranked by assets under management using the Discovery-RR database system. Discovery maintains data on the registered representative universe then validates the ranking via direct survey.
