ING Advisors Network, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks in the industry, announced today that Brett Harrison, a 12-year veteran of Multi-Financial Securities Corp., has been promoted to chief executive officer. Harrison succeeds Pat McEvoy, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other career opportunities. Harrison and McEvoy have worked closely together over the years in leading the broker-dealer organization.
"One of Pat's greatest contributions to the organization was the strong management team he assembled over the years. We are fortunate to have an outstanding leader like Brett Harrison ready to step in immediately and ensure the continuity of the Multi-Financial values and culture," said Valerie Brown, chief executive officer, ING Advisors Network. "Pat has been an outstanding executive for Multi-Financial; his leadership across the network in the areas of technology and advisory have driven rep satisfaction to new levels. We wish him the very best in his future pursuits."
Previously, Harrison served as vice president, sales and supervision. With over 12 years of experience at Multi-Financial, Harrison has a strong financial management background, solid leadership skills, and excellent field relationships.
"This is a very exciting time to take over as CEO of Multi-Financial," Harrison said. "We are having a strong year, thus far, and the future looks bright for the entire organization. Collectively, we navigated our way through an extremely volatile market environment. As always, Multi-Financial reps rose to the challenge and served their clients valiantly. As we approach a new phase in our organization's history, I welcome the opportunity of championing a value proposition that helps our affiliated reps grow their businesses."
Multi-Financial, headquartered in Denver, Colo., is a full-service securities brokerage firm, affiliated with the brand strength of ING, one of the world's largest financial services organizations. Multi-Financial was founded in 1981 and provides industry-leading products and services to approximately 1,000 financial professionals nationwide.
"I have tremendous confidence in Brett's ability to lead Multi-Financial to even greater heights," McEvoy said. "My years at Multi-Financial have been exceptionally rewarding, but it's simply time for me to pursue something new. I regret that I'm leaving at such a promising time given that ING's strategic review of its Advisors Network is nearing completion. Nevertheless, I am confident that Multi-Financial will grow and prosper under Brett's leadership and I wish him and ING well."
