ING has introduced a new comprehensive marketing and sales program aimed at making it easier for life insurance producers to better serve their business clients. The program, dubbed Blueprints for Business, offers support in the sales process from prospecting through the close of a sale through interactive software, an updated web site, high-end marketing materials, and regional seminars.

Blueprints for Business follows the successful introduction in 2005 of Blueprints for Life, which focuses on wealth transfer planning strategies.

"Blueprints for Business can help any producer, regardless of their business niche or experience level, who works in the business marketplace," said Kurt Fasen, senior vice president and head of ING Life Distribution's National Sales Support Team. "The program provides the tools and techniques necessary to make it easier for producers to solve the needs of any size business, whether small business owners or fortune 500 size.

The program develops business opportunities for producers by breaking down the high-level business concepts into individual kits. These kits complement the interactive software and workshops. These regional workshops feature an ING advanced marketing consultant and other ING advanced case design specialists who use current case-specific solutions to illustrate key business opportunities. Currently, ING has approximately two dozen workshops scheduled through the fall and early winter, and it will add workshops as needed.

"We received tremendous feedback from these very practical workshops when we offered them for the Blueprints for Life effort last year," said Fasen. "Because they focus on current case-specific opportunities, these meetings have tremendous practical value, in addition to being educational."

The enhancements made to ING's producer website and the interactive client presentation tool on ING Presents are key components of the program ING brought all its business-related tools together on ING Presents and also linked it to the producer web site for easy access to Blueprints for Business presentations and brochures. Additionally, it added an Executive Benefits Wizard to its list of tools. The wizard helps producers walk clients through their executive benefit needs and offers plan recommendations.

  Additional program components include:

  * ING Blueprints for Business Binder: Designed for use as a reference
library of all the materials available regarding business planning. The
binder also provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the tools.
  * ING Blueprints for Business CD-ROM: Includes all of the items in the
binder plus electronic-only items like training modules, client
    presentations and electronic training manuals.
