ING announced today it has been recognized with five awards across the micro-and small-plan markets by PLANSPONSOR magazine's Annual Defined Contribution Survey of plan sponsors. The survey results were published in the magazine's November issue.

ING earned three awards from micro-plan clients including timeliness of participant reporting, range of investment options and responsiveness. In the small-plan market, ING was awarded for turnaround time for loans/withdrawals and range of investment options.

"At ING we are committed to the small-to-mid-sized plan market and pleased to be recognized in the PLANSPONSOR magazine survey as a leader in timeliness and responsiveness to our customers," said Kathleen Murphy, group president of ING Worksite and Institutional financial services. "We are pleased to see that in both categories we were recognized for our range of investment options, which is an important focus of plan offerings."

Comments by plan sponsors who responded to the survey:
   - "They always go above and beyond our expectations."
   - "Always available by phone, and response time to questions is prompt."
   - "I never have to worry or wait for anything."
   - "We have a diverse group of employees and our provider ensures that the
materials and meetings are geared toward the audience."
